I’m currently writing this post on a plane to Dubai. It has been a very, very long trip and there’s nothing worse that having a crying baby sitting 2 rows in front of you. Well, believe it or not, that’s my current situation. However, if I don’t do these following things on the flight, it could be a lot worse!
It is so important that you walk around on board! This allows you to move your muscles and allow blood to continue flowing through your body. Nothing is better than getting some exercise in on a long haul flight! Economy seats can be a pain, as I have realised over my life time and in particular right now! You should try to move around and get out of that crammed environment at least once an hour.
I know I have mentioned the importance of moisturising on a plane trip in a previous blog post but here’s a little repeat ? the air conditioners in planes can dry your skin out very easily. For this reason, it is important to keep your skin hydrated and pack a small moisturiser in your carry on. My favourite moisturiser is the water bank serum from Laneige. It comes in small pump suitable for travelling. It is a light- weight hydrating and skin perfecting serum. Laneige has a whole collection of skin products with are of high quality. If you are looking for a new skin care brand to try out, I would defiantly recommend Laneige
3. Listening to music
The best way to block out that crying baby or two is to plug in your headphones and listen to music. Have your playlist downloaded before you board the flight so you can listen to music throughout the journey.
4. Bring some snacks (hehe no surprise I wrote eating as a tip)
I am currently contemplating whether I am more hungry or annoyed at the crying baby. But I’d have to say, it’s an even balance. It is important to note that you do not get fed as often as you like. Although the plane is most likely going to have some snacks to nibble on throughout the flight, these are usually chocolates and more chocolate! Although it sounds great, chocolate doesn’t fill you up and you can only eat so much, right? Pack some snacks such as muesli bars, biscuits, cookies, fruit, etc.
Hopefully after reading this post, you have found some useful tips you’ll use in your next long haul flight! Xx
P.s The baby just stopped crying
Update: the baby started crying again, and so did another one
